Still going strong after all these years!
1989 Chevy Malibu

This station wagon is still my daily driver at 390,000 miles. Am about to take it across country again. V6 2.3L is the most reliable car I've ever owned. Oil changes every 3,000 miles, routine maintenance and still have the original engine & tranny. There have been a few quirks over the years but just wait it out and it fixes itself, honest to god. May have to wait months. If mechanics and I cannot figure it out, we leave it alone and eventually the noise or issue quits. Sort of like when you take your kid to the doctor. I've hauled anything and everything I've needed while being a carpenter and traveling on the road. It's a camper, my giant tool box, holds 5 kids in seat belts along with an adult passenger. Easy to wash unlike an SUV. The luggage rack has held 20' ladders and all our traveling suitcases. Can't beat a station wagon for ease and comfort. I will miss the old girl if she parts before I do.
Dislikes
Bad year for GM paint. It was peeling off 18 years ago. Just sanded her down past the primer in most places, put on a good coat of paint, kept it waxed and still have that same paint job with a shine. When shutting off the car after running the air conditioner, it makes a loud, dying squeal which lasts about a minute. Been doing that for 18 years. No one can discern the issue so it's never fixed. I understand it's a Chevy thing so have learned to live with it.

It's real easy on gas, it's a family car but also a sporty car it has a lot of room inside
